The Icon, Finally Upgraded | Delkim Txi-D v2

Simplified interface and multi-coloured LEDs should make the Txi-D v2 Delkim’s best bite alarm yet

Delkim (finally) listened. Granted, it’s taken a bloody long time, but after what must have been years of customer feedback, they’ve released the Txi-D v2. They’ve retained the iconic shape but refined the design and enhanced the functionality to make it more user-friendly (fingers crossed the update includes auto-synching between receiver and alarms…). The v2 now allows you to switch between LED colours, has a new ‘Bivvy Light’ mode, and offers improved weatherproofing. Here’s what we know so far…

What Makes the Txi-D v2 Better?

1. Auto-sync has arrived!
This was the major update we had been hoping for. The all-new Rx-D V2 receiver gets a welcome upgrade: multi-colour LEDs and an Auto Sync feature that finally makes setup feel like 2025, not 2005. No more decoding cryptic paper manuals (they blew our mind!)—now your Txi-D v2 pairs automatically, mirroring both the colour and tone of the alarm head with zero faff. Big win.

2. Pick whichever LED you want
The Txi-D V2 ditches the one-colour-per-head model in favour of something more modern (but really, what you’d expect from a bite alarm in 2025): built-in multi-coloured LEDs. Now, instead of picking your hue at checkout, you can scroll through six options when operating the alarm. Blue is the default, but a few button taps lets you switch to red, green, yellow, white, and purple.

3. It’s made from a new material
Delkim has partnered with one of the world’s top waterproof coating specialists to develop a new synthetic material—an upgrade from the standard acrylics used elsewhere, and it now features across the entire range. Combine that with refined assembly methods and precision-sealed mouldings, and you’ve got serious gains in reliability. Confidence? Delkim backs it with a market-leading three-year warranty (registration required), plus award-winning customer support and direct repairs.

4. Now fewer choices, but simpler
Delkims have always packed in the features, but that doesn’t mean they’re hard to use (+– sensitive, for example). In fact, the v2 makes things easier. The control layout’s been refined, and the number of digital tone options has been halved—from 64 down to 32—still offering loads of choice while keeping the classic Delkim warble. Setup and customisation? Now, refreshingly straightforward.

5. But plenty remains…
All the essentials are still here: Advanced Security System to flag unwanted interference, variable brightness, Day/Night Mode, Stealth Mode, and the clever Mute Function. Beep Speed Control also remains, helping you filter out minor line knocks without dampening sensitivity—so you won’t leap out of your bivvy every time a roach sneezes. It works independently of Vibration Response, simply moderating how eager the alarm is to kick off. And yes, the Txi-D v2 is fully cross-compatible—it pairs with both the new Rx-D V2 and the original Rx-D receiver, meaning you can upgrade gradually without rebuilding your setup from scratch.
